6 Easy Tips To Get Rid Of Love Handles When Pregnant

How to get rid of love handles while pregnant?

Don't get too comfortable - get up and move around

Sometimes your love handles can be the result of being too sedentary. Sitting for long periods of time, especially in a slouched position, compresses your internal organs and increases pressure on your stomach which causes you to look pregnant with a poochy belly. Make sure that when at work or home that you get up from sitting every 30 minutes and walk around. This simple activity will get your blood flowing and help you to feel like yourself again!

Pick a support belt that works for you – it doesn’t have to be the most expensive one out there. Many women find themselves struggling with their love handles when pregnant because they are wearing the wrong kind of pants or belts while working out. When you wear pants that are too tight, they put pressure on your love handles and make them more pronounced. Many women find success with wearing a support belt for pregnant women as it does not compress the belly but instead provides gentle compression to the waist which helps to provide relief from pain in this area.

Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

The more water you drink, the better your body can flush out excess fluid and toxins. Drinking water during pregnancy is especially important because it helps prevent the build-up of amniotic fluids in pregnant women.

Drinking lots of water also prevents constipation which again adds to weight gain when pregnant.  It keeps you regular which will help reduce the pressure on your pelvic floor muscles.

Keeping hydrated with water also helps to prevent pregnancy stretch marks by keeping your skin moisturized and supple. It keeps you full between meals so you can avoid snacking when pregnant, especially since cravings do not need to be satisfied! This is a great way to lose weight when pregnant.

Drinking lots of water also helps you avoid the “morning” sickness that often afflicts women who are expecting, along with dizziness and headaches which can lead to dehydration. These conditions may be caused by not drinking enough fluids in general, especially if it is hot outside or during a certain time of day.

Water is a natural diuretic, which makes it an excellent choice for pregnant women who experience increased vaginal discharge during pregnancy. Water also helps to flush out excess sodium from your system and can help prevent pre-eclampsia by lowering the risk of kidney stones developing in expecting mothers. It will reduce swelling, bloating, and discomfort in your legs, ankles, and feet.

Water is the perfect drink to keep you hydrated during pregnancy since it does not have any calories or sugars that can cause weight gain. Instead of drinking calorie-heavy sodas, juices or sweet tea which are full of empty calories think about choosing water instead!

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of protein.

Another way of losing love handles during pregnancy is to eat a balanced diet. Protein is key, as it helps your muscles recover and burn fat faster. Lean meats are the best source of protein to keep you feeling satisfied until your next meal and they help with weight loss goals too! Seafood such as salmon, tuna, or shrimp offers healthy fats that will also help you lose love handles.

Try to avoid processed and refined foods, as they can pile on the pounds. You need healthy fats in your diet but too much of a good thing is bad for you! Healthy fats such as olives, avocadoes, and nuts (almonds are great) will also help you lose love handles by keeping you feeling full until meal times and they’ll help you lose weight too!

Fruits and vegetables also fill you up, with the water content giving you a feeling of fullness. They provide essential healthy nutrients that will keep your mind sharp and body in good health which is important during pregnancy. Vegetables such as broccoli, kale, cauliflower, and spinach are great for losing love handles as they are packed with essential nutrients and fiber.

Fibrous fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, and berries help you to lose love handles too! They all provide the same benefits but it’s important to have a variety in your diet to prevent getting tired of certain foods during pregnancy. The health benefits of these fruit types are that they will keep you feeling full, less tired and your body will thank you for it, but you should also know which fruits to avoid.

Remember that pregnancy is not an excuse to eat more than usual or indulge in junk foods. You can still enjoy the occasional treat but try to fit them into your calorie allowance so they do not take away from healthy eating habits too much.

Get enough sleep each night

Having sufficient sleep is important for any mother-to-be, but it will also help you lose weight! Lack of sleep can lead to overeating and cravings for junk food that is high in fat and carbs. This means that the calories consumed are then stored as body fat rather than burned off which leads to gaining more pounds even though you haven’t eaten much.

Studies have shown that lack of sleep can lead to weight gain which is bad news for your love handles. Try going to bed a little earlier each night and aim for around seven hours, including the time it takes you to fall asleep. If you feel like nodding off in front of the TV or in an armchair instead then go right ahead. However, make sure you are not snoozing for long periods of time during the day as it does not count towards your seven hours needed.

When getting enough sleep, make sure to keep a routine in place so that you get roughly the same amount each night. This will help with stress levels too which is important when pregnant! Try relaxing before bed by taking a bath or reading a book as it will help you to unwind and ready yourself for the next day.

Lack of sleep does not only affect weight gain but can lead to other health issues such as stress which is obviously bad news when pregnant! Getting enough rest means your body has time to rejuvenate itself which leads to having more energy, increased fertility, and improves mood which is great during pregnancy. You’ll also be able to think more clearly, making it easier for you to resolve issues that may arise.

Wear clothes that are loose-fitting and breathable

Wearing comfortable, loose clothes will help you to feel great and look your best as a pregnant woman. Loose clothing will be comfortable enough for you to wear all day long, while still having the ability to allow airflow throughout the garment. This means that loose clothes can contribute greatly towards helping you lose those love handles during pregnancy.

If wearing looser-fitting clothes is not your style, then consider pairing a tight bodice or waist cincher with loose-fitting bottoms. This will help to create the illusion of having a slimmer figure and losing love handles when pregnant.

Of course, no matter what type of clothing you choose to wear during pregnancy, it is important that they are made from natural fabrics like cotton that will allow your skin to breathe. This is especially important for airflow when wearing clothes throughout the summertime or in warmer climates.

If you are not one of those women who has a creative flair, then consider purchasing clothing from maternity stores and boutiques. These garments tend to be light and loose-fitting while still allowing room for your expanding body.

If you are still not sure how to lose love handles during pregnancy, then consider investing in some comfortable maternity jeans. These pants will be tight enough around your waistline to show off that sexy pregnant belly, while also being loose and baggy throughout the legs. This style of pants is perfect for losing those last stubborn pounds before giving birth.

If you still think that tight-fitting clothes are your best option, then consider wearing leggings. These comfortable garments stretch and flex with the changing shape of your body while also keeping everything in place. This means no more loose skin flapping around! Leggings can be worn during pregnancy as well as after giving birth to help reduce the appearance of love handles while giving you a streamlined look.

For women who are not fans of wearing pants or leggings, then consider dresses and skirts instead. These items can provide the same benefits as maternity jeans but come in different styles and colors that will flatter your unique figure. Skirts will also give off an airy vibe to help you to lose those love handles during pregnancy.

Do some light exercise every day, such as walking or yoga

Exercising is another great method to get rid of love handles when you’re pregnant.  For this, we recommend doing some light exercise every day. You can try walking or even prenatal yoga and see which one is more appealing to you. However, make sure that the intensity of your workout plan will not be too high at your current stage in pregnancy as it might affect your baby’s growth.  We also recommend that you consult your doctor before starting any exercise routine.

This is because you may be suffering from some of the common discomforts that pregnant women experience, such as back pain and heartburn.  If you do not exercise during pregnancy your body will store more fat than usual in order to ensure enough energy is present for both you and your baby.

This will only make it harder for you to lose weight after you give birth.  However, we recommend that you do some light exercises even after your baby is born as this will help tone and tighten your muscles and make it easier for you to regain a healthy body image after pregnancy.

Please note: if you are suffering from any medical conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, make sure to consult with your doctor before doing any exercise during pregnancy.

Why am i getting love handles during pregnancy?

This is due to the natural weight gain, increased blood volume, and increase in connective tissues during pregnancy. Combined with hormonal changes in early pregnancy, it’s common for pregnant women to get fuller hips and thighs while shrinking in height. Extra fat also accumulates on the lower abdomen or “love handles” that are not seen prior to becoming pregnant.

In later stages of pregnancy, the body takes on a rounded appearance due to the baby’s growing size and weight gain.

As a pregnant woman’s center of gravity changes, her posture may change as well. A shift in the pelvic bones may cause a pregnant woman to lean forward slightly for balance. She may notice that she is pushing her stomach out further than usual. All of these changes will alter a pregnant woman’s center of gravity, which can lead to muscle strain and increased stress on the joints, especially in the spine.

If you are having trouble finding pants that fit your love handles don’t worry it happens to all women during pregnancy what you need to do is find some high-waisted pants to make it look like you are not pregnant because even baby belly bands can be see-through.

Exercises for love handles during pregnancy:

Standing Side Crunches: 3 sets of 20 reps (alternating sides)

Dumbbell Side Bends: 3 sets of 10 reps (each side)

Side Plank: 60 seconds (each side)

Dumbbell Elbows to Knees Side Crunches: 3 sets of 20 reps (alternating sides)

Do love handles go away during pregnancy?

If you picked up one or two eating unhealthy habits during the pregnancy thanks for cravings or consumed more than usual because you were always hungry, the answer to this question is “no”.

Pregnancy weight will not go away on its own once the baby is born, no matter how much breastfeeding or jumping jacks you do. The good news is that it will come off easier the more pounds are lost before delivery and for many women, this simply means focusing on a healthier diet and exercise routine.

We would like to warn you though… there is no miracle method of getting rid of inches after the baby arrives without changing your diet and becoming more active. Most new moms who don’t prepare for this fail at losing weight because they are expecting to lose pounds even if they don’t eat right and do nothing(which isn’t realistic). This is a major mistake that will set them up for failure.

In the end, if you didn’t get any bigger during pregnancy on your belly (belly rolls), butt (jiggly bottom), and thighs(thicker thighs) then all you need to do after delivery is lose fat and gain muscle in those areas by eating right and doing cardio. In other words, you need to get rid of the fat that was gained on your hips (curvy hips) and stomach (bigger belly).
